"Di-Anniversery" - Remember Today4ever

Prince William and Harry marked the 10th anniversary of their mother's death with an event to celebrate her life.
A very fitting and emotional tribute to one of the greatest humanitarians of our time. By far the best performance of the night. We miss you Princess Diana .....

Prince William says: "We wanted to have this big concert full of energy, full of the sort of fun and happiness which I know she would have wanted. And on her birthday as well, it's got to be the best birthday present she ever had."
Prince William said: "We were so lucky to have her as our mother and there's not a day that goes past when we don't think about her and miss her influence because she was a massive example to both of us."

This song was the most requested on the radio at the time of Diana's death well that's what I remember ... back in 31st August 1997

This is absolutely beautiful. So many stars, so many satisfyingly odd moments: P-Diddy, rapping over "I'll Be Missing You" with the insistent question: "Our princess. Where is she? Our princess. Where is she?"I love Diddy and I love the respect he showed to the elegant/beautiful Princess Diana and her sons. My favourite memory and a wonderful song! The violins sounded amazing and I wish I was there myself!
best performance of the nyt, he summed it all up in 1 song, what the night was about, i will remember this nyt an smile as she did a lot for the world 'we miss you' R.I.P queen of out hearts

David Beckham croaking, "She was the nation's lady, the nation's princess, always has been and always will be!"

"We know that if our mother was here today ... she'd be the first up out of her seat and dancing!" the Princes wrote in their forward to the programme.

Some of the Diana's quotes I, myself, very much relate to:

"Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you."
"Everyone needs to be valued. Everyone has the potential to give something back."
"Everyone of us needs to show how much we care for each other and, in the process, care for ourselves."
"Family is the most important thing in the world."
"I don't go by the rule book... I lead from the heart, not the head."
"I think like any marriage, especially when you've had divorced parents like myself; you want to try even harder to make it work."
"I think the biggest disease the world suffers from in this day and age is the disease of people feeling unloved. I know that I can give love for a minute, for half an hour, for a day, for a month, but I can give. I am very happy to do that, I want to do that."
"If you find someone you love in your life, then hang on to that love"
"It is a weakness that I lead from my heart, and not my head?"
"It's not sissy to show your feeling."
"Life is just a journey."
"Only do what your heart tells you."

"
They say it is better to be poor and happy than rich and miserable, but how about a compromise like moderately rich and just moody?"

We will always miss you, Queen of our Hearts
